Q&A About Thailand Print E-mail

These are some questions sent to me by students from around the world. 

1. How is the nature in your country?
Thailand has a varied topography of hills, tropical rain forests, mountains and beaches.

2. How does the growth look where you are living?
We live in an industrial city with a lot of factories and not many trees. Outside the city there are rice fields.

3. How is the climate? Do you have different seasons?
We have three seasons. The hot season is from March to May. From June to October, it is rainy, but with plenty of sunshine as well. The cool and dry period lasts from November to February.

4. How is your history on the place where you live?

5. Which language do you speak in your state?
Only Thai. But I speak English every day too.

6. How old are you when youstart and finish school? Does everybody go to school?
Everyone has to start to go to school at about 3 years old and will finish at about 18 years old.

7. At what time does your school day start and finish?
It usually starts at about 8.30 a.m. and finishes at about 3.45 p.m. But some schools have a special lesson after normal lesson so it will finish at about 5.00 p.m.

8. What does your school look like? Describe it.

9. Which subjects are you studying?
Math, Thai, English, R.E., P.E. and Social Studies.

10. How big are the classes?
We have about 40-50 students in the class and 1 classroom teacher.

11. When you have breaks what do you do?
We usually eat snacks and play in the playground.

12. What do you do after school? What intrests do you have?
We usually go back home but some people go to play games in the game center. Chat on the telephone, watch a movie, listen to the radio and read cartoon books.

13. How is it between boys and girls?
Same as with other country. Have girlfriend, chat on telephone etc.

14. Which music do you listen to?
Thai pop music.

15. How much does it cost to go to the cinema?
About 100 baht

16. Do you live in a town or in the countryside?
In a town near the capital of Thailand.

17. How are you living? What does your house look like? Which
furniture have you in your home?

 My house has the same with other but because it is hot we have a fan and mosquito net.

18. Do you have a TV? In that case, how many channels do you have?
Of couse we have TV!!!! We have 5 normal channels and about 40 cable channels.

19. What do you usually eat? What is your favourite food?
Rice or noodles. My favourite food is chicken fried in chilly paste with fried egg on top with rice.

20. Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have some small fish and gold fish.

21. Do you have pocket many? And IF how much?
We don't normally have it but my mum gives me money when I need it. When school is open my mum gives me 50 baht each day but I have to use it for bus and food. If I have some money left over I use it to buy cartoon books.

22. How do you usually dress?
Jeans and T-shirt

23. What does a usual family look like?
Usually, there are 2 children but some people also have aunt, uncle, cousin, grandparents living together.

24. Do the children have to work?
Not really work. Chores, a lot of children have to do it because in the school they teach students to do it.

25. What are your parents doing? What do the most working people work with?
My dad's a Goverment Official and my mum's a Factory Employee. Most people work in Agriculture, Fishing and Manufacturing

26. Is religion inportant in your country? How can you tell?
Yes. It is important. About 96% of Thai people are Buddha. We say prayers every day at school. And there are a lot of temples and monks walking around.

27. Does religion have any meaning to you?
Yes, it does. Old people like to go to temple to make merit and listen to the monk.

28. What are you proud of?
I am proud of my homepage.

29. What are you afraid of?
I am afraid of my girlfriend will have new boyfriend.

30. What makes you happy?
A lot of people visiting my homepage.

31. What do you think about the future? For the world and for you?
We have to look after the environment if we want to have a good future. I want to be an engineer.

32. What do you want others to know about you?
I want them to know about my life as we do the same things as other countries. I want people to know about Thailand too.Thailand has a lot of places which are very beautiful and every people here are kind good for travel.

33. What do you know about us in Sweden?
I don't know anything. Please tell me.
