"Gor, Where are
You?? I didn't find out the next chapter of your Secret Story.
Are You still in Thailand? Still in your home? Or get busy with
your friends. Get Up Man!!! Write more, I'm feel happy to read
your diary. Make yourself being useful for yourself, parents,
friends, teachers, and your Thailand. I'm worried about you. Are
You still having drugs? There are many friends waiting for your
diary. And they're really worried about you." - Fery
"Since first finding
your web page I always read your diary. After a few nasty things
happened (bad habits? quarrel with parents?) no more updates of
your diary appeared (#15 was the last one) What happened? Are
you OK?" - Will
"How are you?
We have been worried about you as we haven't seen any updates
on your site for a few weeks. You said you got mixed up with drugs
during the summer holidays and we were worried that somthing bad
had happened to you. Are you OK? We are a regular reader of your
diary and we miss the updates." - Jenna
"I read some of
your diary entries, it was hillarious about your daily routines.
Some of it, I thought was dumb...waz up w/u little peeps drinking
and smoking? It's bad...you're just turning the BIG 16...so let
me see....THAT'S TOOOO YOUNG! You know that 150 million people
die from smoking related illnesses every year!? so I suggest...be
a good kid :)" - Susan
"I really love
your web site. You are soooo cute. Do you have a steady girlfriend
yet? I have been reading your diary and I want some updates NOW!!!!
You are so honest and brave. I would never tell those things to
the whole world. Are you going to publish your life story? I really
love those pictures in your diary. You look like a model and they
are very professional. Who takes the pictures for you? I also
like that picture of you on the laptop with a Buddha statue in
the background. I know this may sound strange, is it possible
to buy some of those photos? You are so adorable!!!!!! Write me.
See yah!" - Sophie
"Please be moderate
with your smoking and drinking. I try to. You have grown since
I first visited this site in October 2000." - Carla
"I love your site
especially the diary! You are soooo honest about the life that
you live and the experiences that you have over there, both the
good and the bad! BTW yes you ARE VERY nice looking, trust me
there is someone special out there for you and she will love you
to bits!" - Y've
"Don't disappoint
your parents by making too many wrong choices. You have a younger
brother who may be looking up to you as well. You are an outstanding
young man with so much potential. I didn't read your diary, just
seems wrong to be reading someone's private thoughts and peak
into their personal life. Must say that you are a brave young
man for that matter." - Mrs Hamm
"I really liked
your secret diary. I am doing a research project on Thailand,
and I found this information very helpful." - Becci
"Overall, your
webpage is ACE! Especially the secret diary part, I enjoyed it
the most. It gives the good insight of your daily lives 'n stuff.
I like the part 1 most but as I go on reading your diary, I feel
really sad that you broke up with the girlfriend.... (any chance
of you patching up with your girlfriend??) I find that you have
changed a lot ever since breaking up with your girlfriend. I don't
think smoking and drinking is cool. In fact it is bad for the
body, mind and soul..... perhaps you should stop going crazy over
girls and start hitting the books. Come on, you don't need a girl
to make you feel good, yeah? Do not find love, let love find you,
if you keep doing that, true love will not come to you...believe
me, please..it happened to me. To tell you the truth, hope that
you will not be offended, your secret diary part is getting a
little boring, cuz all the things that you do are so routine,
if you know what I mean. Like I said, this webpage is excellent
but you should try to improve it by introducing new content in
your secret diary part. Thanks a bunch." - Klutz
"Your diary is
interesting. Just a typical teenager. Gosh you guys sure
drink and smoke a lot. I certainly can
relate with your dad hauling you home and embarassing you."
- Neville
"I can't believe
that you would be brave enough to put your diary on the interenet,
but I must say that it is very interesting! Keep up the good work."
- Amy
"I was a little
confused when I read about Kratae who gave you a rose and a Kratae
that is listed under your friends list. Please email me back!
I am confused. I love your website, I come often." BK
"I enjoyed your
website tremendously. One thing is, your secret diary is not so
secret. In fact, since you call it "secret", that makes
people want to read it even more! I am surprised that you are
willing and open to let the whole world read about your inner
thoughts and feelings. That's a great and courageous thing to
do, and few can. I am curious as to what feedback you get from
people." - Danny
"Your diary's
just amazing; really makes me see what life on the other side
of the world is like :-) to me, all teens have the same instincts
and desires, so the similarities between life there and here aren't
that startling." - Daniel
"I have just read
your diary and it was so amazing! Not having a girlfriend is not
the end of the world. I think that your web-site is fantastic
and you have obviously put a lot of work into it, hope you find
someone special soon." - Amy
"It is very interesting
to find out about daily life from a Thai person (instead of reading
books written by farang). It will certainly be interesting to
see how things work out for Rean. Personally, I'm not sure how
anyone could "help" "her", but it's very kind
of you to try." - Ralf
"I really enjoyed
your diary. It was cool to write it in english so you could share
your life experiences. Your english is very good. It's cool to
be a teenager and I hope you have many wonderful memories."
- Ron
"This was very
interesting for me. I appreciate the honesty that comes through
on this web page. Its hard to believe this young man isn't older.
He did a great job on his web page. But really, he should quit
the bad habit of smoking." - Susan
"I have read your
secret diary, and know that you smoke. I want to remind you that
smoking is bad for your health, so if possible, it is better for
you to quit smoking." - Angela
"I
really liked your diary and I downloaded your e-diary so that
my teenage son can read it later. He has to do a project on Thailand
culture and I am sure he will find it useful. Your life seems
much the same as his though I hope he doesn't smoke and drink
when we are not looking. I know other people have asked you to
stop smoking so I won't. I do actually admire your honesty and
willingness to be so open on the internet. If you didn't write
about the bad things in your life too then it wouldn't be so believable.
I see that you are reading "Go Ask Alice". Maybe one
day your diary will become famous like that, though I hope not
for the same reasons! " - Sandra

WARNING:
My Secret Diary stretches over
several years between 1998 - 2002. It is about my life from the
age of 12 to 16. Some people (i.e. teachers and parents) might
not like some things they read.
In 2002, when I was 17, I stopped doing this Secret Diary because
I got a job as a columnist for the Bangkok Post. I now write every
week about the life of teenagers in Thailand. Some of these columns
are controversial and have been banned by some teachers. However,
they are very popular with teenagers. You can read my Gor's
World column every Tuesday in the Bangkok Post.

Guide of Bangkok:
"Also
online is his diary, which is surprisingly explicit for a site
that is as popular as his is. It just goes to prove that Thai
teenagers are not as conservative and sheltered as people like
to think they are."
Mission to the World:
"ThailandLife.com
is a webpage written very candidly by a Thai teenager. Great site
for more info about Thailand from a teenager's point of view...advise
some caution with regards to his diary."
Lonely Planet Guidebook: "What sort of things
does a Thai teenager keep in his pocket? Or in his fridge? What's
in that secret diary and how secret can it be on the net? Find
out the answers to all these questions and more."

"I'm really impressed
with your website, and as a Thai, I'm very proud of your work.
I'm wondering when you're going to post your new diary entries!"
- Amy
"Even though I
didn't get to finish reading your diary I'm really proud that
you showed eveyone the information about Thailand." - Ron
"I read some of
your stories and think that you are quite "Jaap" naja;
I mean u aren't only genius in computer, but "Jaap"
as well (very open especially about girlfriend)." - P Yui
"I think your
secret diary is cool, I thought all children in Thailand were
very "nice" you know? Like no drinking, no dating etc.
My mum wont stop yagging. (My mum's Thai, and she DOES NOT like
the way I party with my friends... but I guess it's the same all
over." - Line
"I read your diary
and it reminds me of my teen years, but I have to say that things
have changed a lot from the old time when I was 15 to your time.
And I am glad that kids now have more freedom, although Girls
are definitely a lot more forward and cruel :) Don't be discouraged
though. You are a nice looking young lad, and I am sure you will
find a nice girlfriend in no time. Just take your time and have
fun! Enjoy your teen years. I certainly miss mine." - Kaew
"Your web page
is very creative and interesting. I like your secret diary most.
I admire that you are very brave to let people read your activities
and your personal feelings. I can see why you posted a warning
that your stories can upset or offend someone else. I don't get
upset, but I sometimes feel as if I am invading into someone else's
intimate thoughts. Sorry! I can't stop reading either." -
Pusit
"I just saw your
latest diary entry and I was completely bowled over. What a shock
indeed when you found out about Rean. But, I see you weren't down
for long and already have another girl lined up for a date. You
are so lucky you can pick and choose. Make sure you make a slower
decision this time and don't repeat your past mistakes. Good luck
next week! I'll be back to read what happens next Monday."
- Wong
"Wow what a life!
I have been reading your site for about 2-3 weeks now. There is
a lot to read and many beautiful pictures to view. But, I mainly
keep coming back for your diary updates. I feel like I know you
so well. I felt great for you when you went on your first date
with your true-love and then felt sympathy when you broke up.
What i really want to know now is what happened on your first
date last week with Rean? Was she up to expectations? Did you
guys have a great time? Please post the next part of your diary
very very soon!! This is like a soap opera and I need to find
out what happens next!" - Wong
"I've been reading
your diary on valentines day. Its a good thing that you have girls
chasing after you. If I was you i'll go out with all of them."
- Arun
"I love your website.
I felt very sad for you that your girlfriend tricked you and had
another boyfriend, but you have found out that life goes on."
- Sunisa
"I'm sorry she
did that to you. I just finished reading your diary. I hope you
feel better. There are many girls in Bangkok. I'm sure you can
find a good one. Well hang in there it will get better. Promise."
- Nikki
"I
read your diary every day.(I'm very nosey) I'm sorry about your
girlfriend. It happens." - Caity
"Your site is
so great and I cannot help but be intrigued by the content in
your diary. I am sorry about your ex-girlfriend, but in America
the cliche is "There are plenty of fishes in the sea!"
Good luck on your search for a new girlfriend." - Bow
"My parents are
from Thailand! I just looked at your website and I think it is
great. Since I've never been to Thailand I'm glad I can see and
hear what teenagers do in Thailand. My mom always says that thai
teenagers are better than american teenagers. I don't belive it.
I just read something on your web page and it seems to me that
you do the same things in Thailand that we do here in America.
Like in class you get bored. I don't blame you I do too. I think
Thailand teenagers and American teenagers are the same! The only
difference is you do more work around the house. I don't have
to do anything except do good in school and make my parents proud
of me." - Lisa
"I am a Thai person.
I left Thailand since I was 19 years old. Reading your homepage
made me remember a lot about Thailand and Thai school. I think
you are a fine gentleman the way you treated your girlfriend.
I am sorry things didn't work out for you. What's life like for
you now? I am looking forward to your next diary." - K
"You make me very
proud to be Thai. You are very honest about your life in Thailand.
Also very brave. Not many people would show both the good and
bad sides of life. Particularly their own. I am Thai so I know
how difficult it is for you to talk about having a girlfriend
and smoking etc., as your teachers and parents might not like
it. But, the way you write shows people that Thai teenagers are
just the same as other people around the world. It is this kind
of web site that breaks down cultural barriers and washes away
racial tension. You are doing a very important job for Thailand,
please don't stop now. Keep adding more of the things about your
life. Even the little things are fascinating for visitors."
- Su
"I think it is
wrong for you to have a girlfriend and go out on dates. You also
tell too much in your diary. It gives a bad impression of Thai
teenagers. I know I haven't lived in Thailand for a long time,
but I am sure teenagers are not allowed to walk around holding
hands and going out on dates." Mrs. M
"I am a thai student
currently studying in England, I just want to say 'forget your
girlfriend'" - Aroon

"Just wanted to
suggest a book for you...Judy Blume's Then Again May Be I Won't. I think you will like it
if you like Adrian Mole. Another Judy Blume's book you probably
would like is Forever. A teen classic, but very unconventional and
risque book, even for now. I read Are you there God, It's Me Margaret and loved it but
again I was a 13 year-old girl. That's why I recommended Then Again May Be I Won't to you instead because it's
about a 14 year-old boy. Forever, however, is about first love and exploration
that comes with it---a story of two teenage boy and girl (I think
they were 15) and their first love. I read it the first time when
I was 15 and it touched me to the core." - Bangyekan
