Homepage > My Holidays Around Thailand > Kanchanaburi > War Cemetery and Museum

This is one of two War Cemeteries of 8,732 allied Prisoners. We walked around and looked at their names, age etc. Some of them are very young like that one in the right picture, he was just 18 years old.

JEATH War Museum, inside the museum there are pictures from the war. This museum was built like a prisoners' hut and where the pictures are, that's where prisoners slept.

These are the bombs that dropped on the bridge and the picture on the right shows the bridge after the bombs were dropped on it.

Kanchanaburi is 130 kms west of Bangkok. You can go there by bus or train. It takes about 3 hours to get there. More information can be found at Lonely Planet.com and ThailandGuidebook.com
