Having been in Thailand for 11 months I have been captivated by the beautiful country and the amazing people living here. Throughout the coup and the strained times that followed the Thai people and their "Mai Pen Rai" attitude have served them well. I am looking forward to my first Songkran Festival and wish to thank you for the information found on your site. Hey. So this is a really nice site you've got going here...just what I need when I start missing Thailand too much. :)
Anyways, I'm doing some research on Thai mythology and I was wondering if maybe you could recommend some good books (in english) on the topic. It's no problem if they are only available in Thailand.
It would be really great if you could get back to me asap on this.

After getting nervous about going to Thailand for a full year on student exchange I began trying to find a sight that let me look into the lives of a normal thai teen. This is on of the best sites I have ever been on. And with my depature date arriving soon, I am now more ready then thought possible.

Stumbled on this while looking up Thai culture. My husband, Ponpong, is Thai and was born near Bangkok. He came here when he was 7 with his mom and step-dad in early 70's. We believe his father is still there and he believes he may have some half-brothers as well. Our older brother went back to Thailand a couple years ago and looked up their aunt and some cousins. This is a wonderful site since we are trying to instill the Thai culture in our children. Hopefully, one day we will be able to visit Thailand with our kids so they can really appreciate their heritage.

I lived five years in Samut Prakarn (1999-2004). After a brief period in Trinidad & Tobago I returned to thailand in Jan 2006, but now in Pattaya, working in Rayong. Every day I miss my Samut Prakarn.
